The new <a>high-field open MRI at Insight Imaging \u2013 West Thunderbird<\/a> is the most advanced open MRI system on the market today, with a magnet strength comparable to traditional high-field units. As an open scanner with 270 degrees of unobstructed views, patients can easily see out of the machine making an exam that has a reputation for being scary much easier. In addition, with MRI patients can complete the imaging needed to guide their care with no exposure to radiation.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-192\" src=\"https:\/\/rayusradiology.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/Hitachi-Oasis-MRI-1.jpg\" alt=\"high-field open MRI at Insight Imaging\" width=\"224\" height=\"168\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany people don\u2019t realize they are claustrophobic until they are in a specific situation,\u201d explains Jordan Cohen, M.D., Neuroradiologist and Medical Director with Insight Imaging. \u201cFor patients who cannot complete a traditional MRI, the high-field open system is a great option. It lets them get through their MRI more comfortably, often without sedation, and because the unit has a strong magnet, my team is able to capture very clear images for more accurate diagnoses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Insight Imaging purchased the Oasis\u2122 MRI by Hitachi, in addition to nearly a dozen imaging coils to further enhance specific anatomy of interest during scanning.
