Due to the MRI\u2019s powerful magnet, Breast MRI can be used as a diagnostic tool to detect cancers that are too small to be seen with other imaging technologies, when they are most treatable. The American Cancer Society offers guidelines for Breast MRI screening and diagnostic exams*. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cancer.org\/health-care-professionals\/american-cancer-society-prevention-early-detection-guidelines\/breast-cancer-screening-guidelines.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Learn more on the ACS website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Breast Diagnostic Center\u2019s doctors, Michael J. Ulissey, M.D. and J. Timothy Blackwelder, M.D., will provide professional services for RAYUS\u2019s Breast MRI program. Both doctors are board certified in diagnostic radiology and subspecialized in breast imaging, breast cancer and early detection.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA true cornerstone of RAYUS, nationally as well as here in the Seattle area, is the belief that subspecialized radiologists provide superior patient care,\u201d states Steven Pollei, M.D., Medical Director and Neuroradiologist at RAYUS. \u201cFocusing on a specific area, allows us to see more than a generalist who looks at head-to-toe images throughout their day. We believe this subspecialization leads to more accurate diagnoses for our patients. Partnering with Drs. Ulissey and Blackwelder is in clear alignment with this commitment to quality.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kim Suggett, Director of Operations at RAYUS, adds, \u201cThrough this partnership, RAYUS is able to offer patients exceptionally high-quality care from the comfort of our outpatient setting.
